Gareth WilsonManaging DirectorA proud product of our long-standing personal development programme, Gareth joined NSG in 2008 as a Project Engineer before moving into project management in 2015. Over the years, he established a strong reputation for his project and programme management expertise, particularly through his work with clients at NWS and NRS. His leadership and technical acumen led to his appointment as Civil Nuclear Director in 2022, followed by his promotion to Deputy Managing Director. In October 2025, Gareth became Managing Director of NSG, bringing with him nearly two decades of technical experience, programme leadership, and unwavering commitment to the business. Andy DeallOperations DirectorAndy joined us in the role of Programme Manager in 2011 and became Operations Director in 2022 after stints as Projects North Director and Civil Nuclear Director. Having started his career as a Project Engineer with Magnox Electric, Andy then moved into project management and successfully delivered large decommissioning projects at numerous sites around the UK, including Sellafield, AWE, Berkeley and LLWR. John SearleProjects DirectorJohn joined us in 2021 as Decommissioning Programme Manager and brings over 40 years of experience in the nuclear industry with him, including 17 years working directly for AWE. John has worked across a broad segment of the nuclear industry with a focus on projects and contract management. After being promoted to the position of Head of Defence in 2023, John was appointed to the NSG board as Projects Director in 2025. Gráinne CarpenterConsultancy Services and ESH&Q DirectorGráinne joined our Consultancy Services team in 2013 in the role of Principal Consultant and headed up our office in Cheltenham. After taking on a greater national outlook as Head of Consultancy in 2015, Gráinne’s instrumental role in the successful expansion of our Consultancy Services division led to her appointment as Consultancy Services Director in 2021. Also responsible for ESH&Q, Gráinne’s skills and attention to detail ensure safe, quality and sustainable delivery across all our operations. Andy CaulfieldCommercial DirectorAndy joined us in 2006 and was a prominent member of our Engineering team before transitioning to the role of Commercial Manager in 2017. Andy was later appointed to the position of Head of Commercial in 2021, with oversight of our commercial, legal, purchasing and project controls functions. Known for his strong business acumen and attention to detail, Andy was appointed to the NSG board as Commercial Director in 2024. Oliver MellingStrategic Growth DirectorAn experienced business development professional with a strong background in the nuclear sector, Oliver joined us in 2017 and held key roles in project controls and project management before being appointed Head of Business Winning in 2023 and Strategic Growth Director in 2025. With a track record of driving successful bids and securing key contracts, Oliver plays a pivotal role in our growth strategy, leveraging his deep industry knowledge to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
