NSG Achieves Highly Commended Recognition at RoSPA Awards 2026 < back to all news We are pleased to announce that we have achieved RoSPA Highly Commended in the Engineering Services Sector Award category at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards 2026, recognising our outstanding health and safety performance during the period 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025. The result, confirmed by the RoSPA Awards Adjudication Panel, comes in a landmark year as the awards celebrate their 70th anniversary. The recognition places NSG among a select group of organisations acknowledged for maintaining consistently high standards and demonstrating a sustained commitment to improving workplace safety. A globally respected benchmark The RoSPA Awards are widely regarded as one of the most prestigious international benchmarks for health and safety excellence. The programme recognises organisations that go beyond regulatory compliance to embed strong safety cultures, protect lives and drive continuous improvement. The Highly Commended result reflects another strong year of performance for us and reinforces our long-standing approach to health and safety — one built on consistent focus, shared responsibility and continuous improvement across all areas of our business. A strong record of achievement This latest recognition builds on our established success within the RoSPA Awards scheme, with 23 consecutive awards achieved as of 2025. In 2025, we secured the Engineering Services Sector Award on our first attempt, following a successful history in the Research and Development category, where we achieved seven Sector Awards in nine years. We have also previously been named a finalist for the Sir George Earle Trophy, the highest honour awarded to leading Sector Award winners. Together, these achievements highlight our continued leadership in health and safety performance and our commitment to embedding safety into everyday working practices. Recognition on an international stage The significance of the award is underscored by the scale of the RoSPA programme, which attracts nearly 2,000 entries annually from organisations across more than 50 countries, representing over seven million employees worldwide. Achieving Highly Commended status within such a competitive international field demonstrates our organisation-wide commitment to protecting employees, clients and customers from harm. Celebrating the achievement As part of the award, we will receive a trophy in recognition of our achievement and have been invited to attend the RoSPA 70th Anniversary Awards Ceremony, taking place on Tuesday 30 June 2026 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London. We recognise that this success reflects the collective efforts of teams across our business, where strong health and safety performance is driven by shared values at every level. Detailed feedback from the adjudication process will be shared following the awards ceremonies to support ongoing learning and continued improvement in our safety performance and organisational culture. Special recognition We extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s submission. Particular recognition is given to our ESH & Q Manager Nicola Croft, whose dedication and work in preparing a high-quality submission played a key role in achieving the Highly Commended outcome. < back to all news
